Wyatt - Three Months
Stats:
This month we did not have any doctor appointments, which was nice. He has continued to grow in both weight and height and looks pretty perfect to his parents.
Sleep:
He is officially sleeping in his crib at night time and mommy is trying her hardest to get him to take naps in there too. He usually takes better naps in his swing, but we're not giving up hope. There were a couple of nights that he slept 6-8 hour stretches, which was so nice for mommy and daddy. However, we're back to getting up a few times each night. He does extremely well when we put him to bed between 9pm-10pm.
Eating:
He is still a very efficient eater, which is great when it's the middle of the night. He still eats every two and a half hours during the day and about every four to five at night. I let him tell me at night when he's hungry but during the day I try to keep it at every two and a half. Wyatt still spits up...no changes there.
Diapering:
We began using cloth diapers this month and haven't looked back. I do use disposables at nighttime and if we travel I plan to use them too. Our stash of cloth diapers last us two days, so I wash every other day which isn't too bad. Most of our cloth diapers are BumGenious 4.0 but we do have a couple Kawaii diapers. I have only had a few leeks, but overall am really glad to be using cloth. It makes me feel good to see them getting reused again and again.
Clothes:
He now wearing 3-6 month clothing. The trouble that I'm having is with his bottoms not having enough room for his bulky cloth diapers. Poor kid looks like he has quite the load in his pants, so I've been sizing up for his bottoms to give him the most room possible. Sometimes its just easier to put him in a onesie and call it a day. That will have to change once the weather gets colder, but until then my child is usually pant less.
Social:
His Aunt Jess and cousins Mabry and Harlow came and stayed with us for a week, since Sven and I were in a wedding. Aunt Jess, Aunt Bailey, and cousins Mabry and Harlow did a great job watching Wyatt for us while we were busy with wedding festivities. It appears that the adults only started to get a little kid crazy when I got a text message picture of Wyatt in a dress. I'll wait to show that picture, when the time is right. It is pretty darn funny and got a good laugh from both his mommy and daddy.
Highlights & Milestones:
We have had a few more play dates this month with some highschool/college friends and their kids. Wyatt is trying really hard to roll from his back to his tummy. He is still very good when we take him out of the house into social environments. He usually is so busy taking everything in that he hardly fusses. We're still trying to find a carrier that he likes, since the Ergo usually upsets him because he's inward facing. We made another trip to Scranton so that daddy could see one of his old highschool friends. Mommy and daddy also celebrated their second anniversary and Aunt Kristie watched Wyatt so we could go to dinner to celebrate.
