Wyatt - Two Months

Stats:
At his two month appointment he was 12lb 13oz and 23.25 inches long, putting him in the 50th percentiles for both. His head is still 'off the charts' but it has been since birth, so they said there should be no concern. Poor baby comes by it naturally since both his momma and daddy have big heads. He also got shots this month and the poor thing did not take them well at all. The sounds that he made broke both mommy and daddy's hearts. He was pretty hard to console but once he did settle down he fell right to sleep. It wasn't until that evening when he once again got extremely upset, needless to say mommy and Wyatt sleep on the couch together so we could all get some sleep.

Sleep:
He sleeps about two hour stretches during the day and about four to five hour stretches at night. We usually put him down for bed around 10/10:30pm. His night time feedings and diaper changes take about 20 minutes total and he still goes back to sleep rather easily. He slept in his pack and play next to our bed for part of the month and then we transitioned him to his crib. I think he is much more comfortable sleeping in his crib and I sleep a little better not hearing every move he makes. His favorite place to nap throughout the day is his swing (I cannot get the boy to nap in his crib).

Eating:
He is still a very efficient eater, which is great when it's the middle of the night. He still eats every two and a half hours during the day and about every four to five at night. I let him tell me at night when he's hungry but during the day I try to keep it at every two and a half. Wyatt also likes to spit up. It doesn't seem to upset or bother him. It only creates a lot more laundry due to numerous outfit and blanket changes each day. We mentioned it to his doctor at his appointment, but they don't seem concerned since he's gaining weight and large percentage of babies do spit up. I do hear from other mommies that it will just stop one day, so here's to hoping that that day will come soon!

Diapering:
We currently are using Pampers size one diapers, but think that he'll be moving to a size two (we need the height of the diaper) once we're done with what we have. I'm planning to start cloth diapering soon, just need to get the courage to do so!

Clothes:
He is still wearing 0-3 month clothing and pretty much has been from the beginning.

Social:
Wyatt took his first long road trip to North Carolina to visit his Aunt Jess and cousins Mabry and Harlow. Mommy was very stressed that we would get caught in I-95 traffic (because we usually do), however the stars must have aligned because we didn't get caught in any standstill traffic. He did good for the majority of the car ride both ways, which was great for being only six weeks old! His Grandpa Donovan and Oma made many trips from Scranton to visit him. He also met some more of mommy and daddy's friends.

Highlights & Milestones:
Wyatt took his first trip to IKEA in Philadelphia where we met up with his Grandpa Donovan and Oma. He also had his first play date with the TMI wives and their kids.

Wyatt has started to smile a lot, become more alert and has noticed his hands. He loves his swing and his playmat and when we're outside we like to put him in his bouncy seat.
