I'm still alive. I've been having some technology problems and finally have my computer back. Hopefully within the next few days a will have some posts up, including the purse meme my sister tagged me to do.

Reality Television
I LOVE Dancing With the Stars. Unfortunately I missed last weeks episodes, but since it was only the first week I don't think I missed too much. My favorite dancers this season are...
Melissa, who is going to be a great competitor because of her background in ballet and cheerleading. I think she is going to make it all the way to the final.
Shawn is my other pick as a finalist. She is a fierce competitor and knows how to win the crowd over, which she clearly demonstrated this past summer in the Olympics.
I'm not 100% sure which girl will win at this point, but give me a few more weeks, couple more dances and more time to think about it and I'll make my decision. ha! Do you watch Dancing With the Stars? Who are you favorites this season? And who do you think will be the two finalists?

Online Shopping
I am always browsing through the Etsy website looking at all of the wonderful creations people have made. Usually, I end up not purchasing anything because I'm not a huge fan of online shopping. I'm always weary about sizing or that the item won't meet my expectations, because we all know pictures can be deceiving. I also HATE paying for shipping when there is a chance I might have to return it.
However, the other day I was browsing through the Etsy website when I stumbled upon Greeting Cards for Our Garden. I immediately fell in love with Lianna's greeting card creations. Since I have never been good about giving people cards I figured I would order a set of her Easter cards because 1. I couldn't help myself they are too cute 2. It's for a good cause and 3. I WANT to get better about sending cards.
I can't show you the cards I bought, because the people that will be receiving them read my blog. But I will show you a few other greeting cards she sells...
Black Polka Dot Birthday
Yummy

*2 cups of flour, topped off a little on the second cup of flour (so a little more than 2 cups)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 sticks of butter, softened
*1 cup sugar
*1 cup brown sugar
*2 tsp. vanilla
2 large eggs
*3/4 c to 1 cup Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips (usually too many chips crowd the texture)
*no nuts
Follow the directions on the chocolate chip package to prepare and bake. They will be slightly flat once baked, but are sure to be the best chocolate chip cookies you've ever had.
Happy Baking!

The Final Rose

For the record I DID NOT WATCH the Bachelor at all this season, except for last nights final episode. In the prior weeks I had seen a lot of commercials and read a lot of things on the Internet leading up to the final rose ceremony and never thought more about it. That was until last night when my curiosity got the best of me and there I was sitting in front of the television at 8pm.
Only 20 minutes in and I was already hoping that Melissa would be 'the one.' Finally, after two long hours, countless flashbacks and too many commercial breaks Jason picked Melissa. Even though I liked her MUCH better than Molly, I had already read on the Internet that he was going to pick Melissa. Since that was true, then I HAD to watch the After the Final Rose episode to see if the other Internet rumor I read was true. Sadly, it was. I cannot believe that Jason broke up with Melissa on NATIONAL TELEVISION. How devastating. Shame on ABC, I'm sure they had this planned all along.
